Last night I was driving through a Suffolk village with a 30 mph limit when some twit overtook me and 2 others. Checked my speedo, I was doing 34, he was probable at around 45 - 50 driving a white van with a ladder on the roof.

My point is that people like him will cause an accidentinjury and we will have to pay. The powers that be will go on about excessive speed yet again and it will be the poor sod doing 35 or so who is likely to get nicked (it looks good in plods figures).

Speed yes - I love it, but used appropriately!

White van men are a law unto themselves.

They are training to be BMW drivers - note the lack of indicators and the middle / outside lane hogging...

No one does 30 through my village barring the people who live there... the average is probablty about 40 odd, and every single day people come through at over 50mph..

still.. you've got to catch speeders on the A roads and motorways apparently..

A few years ago my now ex sister in law got nicked for speeding, with a hand held radar gun, while travelling through her own village. (Well not actually hers but she lived there). She'd previously been complaining about speeders through the village....

Haven't most "community action" speed nazis found that most people caught speeding in Villages are the locals?

I've spoken with a local copper and he tells me - that when they put up a camera or site a van they catch locals.

Sorry but its true. No one goes to someone else's estate/village/street to speed. They do it at home.
