Did anyone hear the news on radio this morning in the Midlands ??

Said that they want to put another 200 cameras up around the West Mids :yike: :yike: & censored :yike:

Anyone know anything about it or is it scaremongering.

I really bloody hope it's not true...I'm quite happy with the 'moderate' number we have around here at the moment.

They will more than likely increase until the public go totally ape about them. This may be happening shortly though, if the BBC continue with their expose about how half of them are not working properly.. Once the cash cow dies, I am sure their use will diminish. But, look forwards to more LTI usage instead, until such time as they are shown to be completely cr*p as well. It's all about the cash, and this Govt aren't going to give up all that lovely lolly without a fight.

I have a completely off the wall suggestion.
I would like to state that I am not exactly a towering virtue of lawful driving, but I have been looking at ways to hit the pratnerships exactly where it hurts them.

Pratnerships and such organisations operate purely for the money. Yes the policy makers say it is for safety, but in all honesty that is simply polishing a turd.

Based on the simple fact that organisations rely on income, it is realitic to assume that a radical reduction in income will have an adverse affect on the ability of such organisations to sustain operations.
In simple terms, if drivers ran a concerted campaign for 1-2 months whereby we swallowed our pride, and drove to rule, we would cause that very income pressure.
I know that the mojority of drivers would find it frustrating, but imagine the pleasure of knowing that a short period of pain would be followed with a very public implosion, and equally very painful period for Gordon and his minions.

I know this is a bit radical, but just think of the call to arms campaign that could be organised by safespeed.

woodlands,

The government would just bail them out with our money.

In fact, hypothecation has, I believe, ended, and they're operating off fixed budgets (paid for by taxpayers!!!). So your protest would achieve nothing.

No, the only way to end this madness is to highlight the errors and failures wherever and whenever they arise, chipping away at public confidence in the machines until they become politically unsustainable.

I agree completely, would be nice to see a few SCP laid off - unfortunately this tactic would lower the average speed on most roads and under the new formula for setting speed limits the SCP scum parasite fuc4wit lying tw@ts would simply lower as many as possible. nightmare.
