What are the odds that they will get a few more speeding fines outta that bit..

I find I'm very little influenced by the law. I don't murder, steal, mug old ladies etc, because I feel it's morally wrong, the fact that it's also illegal is largely irrelevant. A number of things that I do do are of course illegal, frankly I just take care not to get caught.

"Mr Yrth? We'd like to ask you a few questions, down t'station please"
It seems that the BBC website has crashed under the weight of people trying to tell them how angry they are.

But are your morals dictated by the environment and laws under which you live ?
To a psychopath murder is neither morally right or wrong. They would view it in the same light as going to the shops to buy a loaf of bread.

They may perhaps be more concerned that it is illegal then. I am neither psycho- nor socio-pathic as far as I can tell however, and therefore the legality of my actions is largely irrelevant to me. I don't imagine I break any laws that others here do not, certainly.
Maybe it was someone who's lost their livelihood for doing something perfectly ordinary on the road and being told it's all about safety. Something that millions of motorists prove on a daily basis is really really safe to do?
Maybe someone disgruntled by a system based around spin, lies and propaganda and patronising spokespeople from "brake" etc?
Must say they have a rather large field of enquiry before them!

Sorry EY - should have added in the first bit that I wasn't suggesting that you were. I was just trying to put forwarded a different viewpoint and also the idea that it is not that easy to separate legality and morals most of the time as the two go hand in hand.
Should also add that a law that is broken often by many is either unenforceable (by definition), or a bad law, as within the framework of the society in which it is set the law is seen to be of little or no value.

Got this on, bit of a laugh anyway

No, I'm not an angry motorist, anger and driving don't mix very well, but I'm sick and tired of Government interference and money grabbing schemes masquerading as road safety and so called green politics. I wouldn't trust this government or frankly the possible alternatives to represent the real requirements of the people of this land. What really gets me is how all these minority opinions get as far as they do, they infect our culture and our lives mainly for the worst and our elected spineless politicians pander to them. Motorists are not a species apart from the rest of the population, there are 30m or so, completely diverse individuals, 10% of which I would find might share my views on safe motoring policies, the rest don't know which day of the week it is and are totally unaware of what is happening on a day to day basis, you'll find them in the middle lane of most motorways or stacked up against a tree on a completely straight road wondering about and asking what happened. No, I'm not an angry motorist, I'm a car driver who is very aware of what is going on around me both on and off the roads and it's not good! I'm not a motorist, because unlike 90% of those classified as such, I know that it is Wednesday today.

Look at the stupid posts by barbara and leandra both of which posted the guff twice. They fell for the spin hook line and sinker. There's also a post from a guy about the roads not being safe for pedestrians! What a plonker, maybe it's because they're roads for cars as opposed to pavements for pedestrians ffs. Kids shouldn't play in the street anyway. I can't see my posting and I didn't receive an email from no 10 to confirm a posting there. Just think how much they can reduce the real tally by ignoring some posters attempts to post! Barstewards the lot of them. Gordon's got no chance of moving to number 10!
