Here we go again (fliplates)
Discussion
Not very clear just how deep the base and plate are.
Another one I've seen on sale, had a base which made the whole thing stand out from car,
the width of a matchbox,
which would be too obvious
There was also an LCD version, which on demand went utterly blank
Which I liked.
Not that I condone such underhand avoidance

Hmmm - why not activate it with one of those photographic flash gun slave units
And an infra red sensor for LIDAR?
Not that I'd do anthing so horrid to disrupt the work of our hard working road safety professionals

You can see that looks wrong from a mile off, when it's clean .......
Such a device will have to react very sodding quickly, within a millisecond (flash duration) to defeat gatsos/truvelos/redspeed/RLCs - not something LCDs or flippers do very well, or at all in fact.
There are easier methods, which the chavs and real scum have been using for years and years at no cost to themselves.

I agree - better to brake!
Agreed!
I am just imagining someone careering off the road as they are fruitlessly hitting the dashboard looking for the 'button'.
