Speed limit question - pride park, Derby
Discussion
Apologies if this is confusing, it's going to be difficult unless you know the road layout or I (eventually) add a piccy.
Driving through the Wyvern, past Pride Park - there's 2 routes you can take. You can either :-
*go straight on past a roundabout ("RDBT A" ) and then left at the next roundabout ("RDBT B" ), when you'll then come to a third roundabout ("RDBT C" );
*or left at RDBT A, and then you approach RDBT C from a different direction.
On approaching RDBT A, speed limit is 40mph. If you choose the first route described there are no other signs, continues to be 40mph limit. If you use route 2, after turning left at RDBT A, limit becomes 30mph. There is no 40mph sign when you get to RDBT C.
What I'm trying to explain is that on the exit of RDBT C you appear to have a different speed limit depending on which way you have approached that roundabout, which Shirley cannot be right?
What speed limit (if any?) would apply.
(Or, if you know the area, am I just stupid and missing a sign to singal re-entry into 40mph limit!?). I'll post the pic up later if I can.
ETA: Removed stupid smileys

Whichever route you take, you must come out ahead of the cars that go the other way

Aye, usually due to doing 0.5 leptons to make sure.
BG - as you appear local, why is it that nobody driving through there is capable of understanding that where roundabouts have 2 entry lanes and 2 (albeit 1 very short!) exit lanes, that you may use both lanes* (other than the one r'bout with a right arrow painted on lane 2)?
*yes, I do, sometimes scandalously rudely too
