I had an accident in November. It was my fault, which I admitted to my insurance company. I had a letter from the other side which I duly forwarded on to my side.

Since then, I've heard nothing - could it be that the other side has decided not to claim? It was a company vehicle that I hit...

Hard to say really.Insurance claims can take months to sort out.To give you an idea my own non fault accident took 11 months to sort out.I would say give your insurance company a bell.

I was in a similar situation in November 2004. The single correspondence from the 3rd party's insurance company was forwarded unanswered to my own insurance company. I never heard about it again, but on renewal the accident was recorded as a £5000 fault claim. Remarkable, as the damage was to a 9-year old Ford Galaxy that the owner drove away afterwards looking not too shabby!
