I am currently enjoying a 2 month stint on public transport due to my lead right foot however the court has just sent me a letter stating i have to apply to DVLA to have my licence reinstated - fair enough. What's not fair is the cost - £50!! It only costs £38.50 for a new driver to apply for a licence where I'd assume there was more admin. I'm also moving house during the ban which make matters worse as normally you get your licence changed for free.

Have I completely misread the DVLA website? There must be someone on here that's been banned and had to do the same.

Advice always appreciated!

Yup £50 it is. Lost mine for drink driving but only had to pay £50 since I wasn't classed as a high risk i.e. stinking drunk with an alcohol problem - that would have been £75.

More fascist cleptocracy. Benito would be proud. rage

We need a new state, not just a new set of M(up)P(et)s.
