Interesting..

Wonder if the requester will appeal the refusal.

Says so in the article - the requester is actually the Evening Post newspaper.

You can bet your bottom dollar that when(if) the information comes out the highest earning cameras won't be the ones in the most dangerous locations - probably the mobile site at the Severn Crossing toll area (has anyone ever seen a KSI there?????) will be close to the top of the list.

I have found the best solution thus far is to avoid going to Wales. And Cambridge.

I can't wait to see if they win the appeal...

Only if you are approaching from the west on the A14. Up the M11, down the A10, on the A14 from the east - no problem.

also from the same paper.... it now seems the only place they will now publish the sites the cameras will be used at is on their own safety camera website, whereas before they used to send a list to the paper every week. some quite dodgy logic being used as a reason as well!

This is no more than petty mindedness of the SCP - you gave us bad press and made an awkward FOI request so we won't talk to you any more nah nah de nah nah.

When kids fall out the normal comment is "It's my ball so I'm taking it home ........." - Pity the SCP won't do that with their cashcams!!!!!!

I'm not sure that starting a war with the local paper is clever.

Good for us if they can destroy a SCP though.

SCPs are worthy only of contempt, hopefully the paper will ensure they are shunned.

But despite all those scameras which they claimed all the time to have saved lives und reduced casualties.. this short stretch of A14 in Cambs has big signs saying 284 casualties on this stretch in 2005.

confused But they had umpteen scmameras. Their hypes und press release claim few accidents .. lives saved..

Surely they are not telling us fibbles

It ist a wonder their nose stay in same room with them as ist now rather long

This is really interesting because Gwent Police have a wonderful information bureau who have provided me with very honest and open information about accident statistics at camera sites, so they're not hiding everything... just where their holiday fund comes from...
