yep - 500 a day - no wonder there aren't going to be enough people working to make the whole pensions problem go away !

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/65

the bbc quote: 70 British children killed or seriously injured each week in the UK
If you read the BBC news item the huge percentage of those 500 are in Africa - so not quite sure what a British driver can do about that ??!!

actually the one side of the governments road safety campaign that i think is quite good is the bit that's aimed at kids (and also the Think Bike campaign)

Good - hard hitting adverts

This stunt is a bit of nonsense - dum arse politicians wanting to meet schuey - and Schuey nto having much to do anymore having sold his soul to Fiat for the next century

the bbc quote: 70 British children killed or seriously injured each week in the UK

On the lunchtime news yesterday they quoted this 70 'KSI' figure and then Schumacher went on to say that it was 70 Killed! no mention of Killed OR seriously injured, now I don't know the breakdown of Killed and Seriously Injured but obviously Seriously Injured makes up the biggest part so his comment was very much the 'party line' confused

Arise Sir Michael your peerage has arrived........ rolleyes

I've read the article several times but I seem to have missed the point where anyone went further than a bit of verbal masturbation?

Where was the policy to reintroduce the Green Cross code and other public information films? Or the policy to clamp down on twoccers? Or the fact that most of them die in India where they have no highway code, buses are 3 times over crowded and cows have right of way?

Numptyism of the highest order - Schumy should be ashamed of himself.

But then Mr Gatso was a rally driver....

What next - "I've just been flashed by a McRae"
