On the motorway this morning (m40) a silver car was parked on a bridge, then about a mile further up on another bridge was two cameras on tripods just focused on lane 3 in each direction of the motorway. The camera looked similar to what I have seen for ANPR, but why only lane 3 covered in each direction? or can one camera do all 3 lanes now?

Do you think this was ANPR or a speed trap?

If it was near Oxford services then that is a popular ANPR site.

sounds like anpr to me, there seems to be lots of fixed ones springing up on bridges recently

ANPR.

(but they might have got you speeding just for fun...)
(ok ok probably not - just feeding the paranoia)
