Can you be banned from driving in germany?
Discussion
you can be banned from driving in germany
I know because I was banned for a month and almost 'lost my licence' for germany
(with UK licence)
if it's from 'totting up' of points, you have to do a psychological test and and extended 'resit' of a german test (although it isn't technically a resit, but ykwim) if you want to ever drive there again

All the info you need is here
You are only banned in the country that bans you, and they must give your license back to you when you leave the country... for now.
The legislation on a pan-European points system and disqualifications is still in discussion phase in Europe. Google the words "Convention on driving disqualifications" for more info.

They cant stop you driving in any other country (yet) and wont take your license off you, but you will be recorded as being banned from driving.
Interesting use of the word "yet", given what I read today about reciprocal banning across the EU.
linky?
cheers
S57 of the C(IC)A 2003, sorry don't have an online link.
