I was wondering if you are banned are you able to sit and pass a driving test in another country e.g. france, USA and then continue to drive in the UK but on a foreign lisence until your ban finishes?
No.
The ban is from driving in the UK, no matter what licence you hold in another country.

If the ban is just from driving in the uk. Can you drive in another country using your uk licence? I'm assuming not.
Just to clarify. If i were to be banned here, is there anything stopping me from taking a job abroad, sitting their test and driving legally in that country? Can you sit a test in another country when you're only their on a temp work visa? Just curious, i'm not considering a vmax attempt down the A1 on the way home

You might get away with it if you have a new foreign address, and the car is registered abroad and not known to the UK authorities. Mainly because then, how are they going to know?

You can't drive on the UK licence abroad, it's been taken away from you.
You could sit a test in a foreign country & drive there on that licence at the moment.

You don't have to go those lengths if you want to drive whilst disqualified (which is what he would still be doing).
If you do drive whilst disqualified you might get away with it, if you don't get away with it you just might go to prison.

The nationality doesn't come into it.
You are banned from driving in this country no matter what nationality you are & whatever national licence you hold.

Unless you are the Queen. Or maybe have diplomatic immunity.
A suggestion.....everyone should "mislay" their licence and apply for a duplicate. In the event you do lose your licence in the UK you can still drive in other countries as long as you can find your old UK licence. (However there is a possibility of serious trouble in the event of a major insurance claim.) There is then nothing to stop you getting a foreign licence and driving in any other country apart from the UK.
For example, to get a New Zealand licence involves showing your UK one and sitting a 20 minute theory paper (be warned, a few hours of study are required to learn some of the most dangerous and stupid road rules that exist in the world)

And if you are caught using a a UK licence (when you are banned) to obtain a foreign licence, that country may well decide that some cell time may be in order for you as you are practicing a deception.
Some other countries do have access to our driver/vehicle records & us to theirs.

Yea,
What about all the "over the channel" drivers that have no UK number plates, definatly no UK tax, no UK insurance, and by looking at some of the cars which have PL on the number plate (country ?) have no roadworthyness.
What if they cause ann accident, what licence would they be expected to show, .
One from Woolworths perhaps !
Now what do you do with your NIP.

I have to tell my insurers that I intend to take it abroad und I receive a letter/document/certiicate saying ist insured und legal to go on ferry boat. So ist insured .. just as I inusre myself und my belongings on a travel insurance policy which ist on a UK policy .. but cover me for .. well .. foreign travels - with deep trauma of kidnap und warfare excluded...
However, von will correct if wrong .. but I am under impression that UK ist under some directive which require a foreign car to be re-registered und subject to VED/MOT if resident in this country for over 6 months as continued und main place of residence.
Or am I confusing this with non-EU member states as applicable to Switzerland as a non-member?
Non -EU residents do have to take driving test to standard of that country if resdient for 6 months or more.. but this ist not a requirement for EU citizens who live in the member states. Only as we know Eastern Europe has different culture .. und standards
I think perhaps less automation und more lovely policemen around. (But of course
these policemen have to use professional discretion und judgement
