i was banned from driving for 2 years- (before i had taken my driving test) and received 6 points, thus i passed my test just 3 years ago and a hald years ago, also i had a fine. I had no community service, was not arrested and no custodial sentence
just a driving ban, and a fine
this was 6 years ago. I am wondering if there is any data on me having a CRB?

TWAC even...i was young and stupid and this was i think 6 and a half years ago.
i would be quite anxious if this means i cannot work . I remember the police saying that i couldnt work for the police or the courts but didnt realise it would hinder any further job prospects.
in fact i have checked and its 7 years ago

It won't stp you from working. Your conviction is spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, so you don't have to declare it unless you're applying for a job working with children or vulnerable people, and even in those cases, it's unlikely to go against you if it was a one-off and you haven't offended since.
You might struggle to get into the Police or work in the legal profession, as it's an offence under the theft act, which could be classed as "dishonest", but other than that I think you'll find that it won't bar you from employment.

but if my employer is doing the crb check on my behalf, does that mean if my twac appears on it they can terminate my employment?
the car i took was a memeber of my family..7 years ago. does my employer
have the right to discus my CRB with other members of staff too?
edit- to add thanks for everyones help ..i really appreciate it

For your employer to be doing a CRB check at all I reckon you must be working one of the following areas
education; care of elderly/vulnerable people; the police; courts; the legal profession; finance.
As R U Local said, some jobs are not exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. You must disclose and you will almost certainly have had to fill in an application form which makes this clear.
Where exemption applies you do not have to disclose 'spent' convictions and, again, the job application form should state this.
So it all depends on what job your are doing. For an employer to dismiss you for a 'spent' conviction that you were not obliged to disclose, it is quite likely you would have grounds for unfair dismissal. AFAIK if the conviction is 'spent' your employer has no right to discuss it with 'other members of staff'. It is privileged/confidential information which should only be known to the HR department or whoever handles job applications within your employer.
IANAL - I think you would be well advised to get expert advice about your specific situation.

What offences can you get away with and still join the police? I'm sure dishonesty and violence are out... but anything else?In our recruitment business we sometimes have to obtain a CRB check for employers in the Airlines, Defence and Aerospace industries, so add those to the list. Even 'spent' convictions must be declared. They don't necessarily rule out the employment, but in order for security clearance to be obtained they must be declared. It's unlikely a 6-year old TWOC would preclude employment and clearance though, so don't worry too much. Declare it in as much detail as you can as it's not like 'kiddy-fiddling', rape, politically-based or fraudulent actions.
