A174 SPEED CAMERAS?
Discussion
I was driving home from work yesturday down the A174 Parkway, just passed the Ormesby turnoff are what it looks like speed cameras attatched to the bridge. I have never seen this type before. They are on long yellow poles with a camera attatched to the top. No mobile van. There were 5 altogether on one bridge. Does anyone know anything about these? Are they speed cameras, and how long have they been there for? thanks
What did the camera itself look like?
Hmm...that's a nice stretch of road there, no junctions between there and Wilton, and only pedestrin bridges (other than the one near Eston)...I know a few people who've tested cars along that road LOL!
Must look out for them next time I'm that way - will let you know if I find out what they are.

No there were no vans at all. They are still there because I passed them this morning. There are five altogether, two on each side of the road and one in the middle. Long yellow poles with cameras on the top? Ive never seen any like them before, im wondering if they are testing their equipment as it is strange they need five? Its on the bridge just before the eston/greystones roundabout. It looks like they have set them up to stay for a few days.
