Speeding Cameras - catch 'em from an early age.
Discussion
I'm not sure if this comes under Speed, Plod & the Law but you decide...
I was walking around The Brunel Centre in Swindon yesterday when I saw one of those kiddy rides. The type that resmbles a "Noddy Car" and you put a 50p in and it makes a noise like a car?
Then I noticed it had a Speed Camera (perfectly reproduced from a real Gatso, albeit with a cartoon face on it) standing in front of the car to take a photograph of the young driver "for a souvenir snap shot" which pops out the side.
Now I know that this is meant to be a bit of fun BUT....what do you think....Propaganda Exercise....Cynical Exploitation....or just a bit of innocent fun?

I've seen these before. SBaby is singularly unimpressed by them. As far as he's concerned, speed cameras are things that he's going to get dragons to "put fire on" when he's old enough to get Tony Blair's job.
I think it all comes down to parent perception. If people with a modicum of sense teach their children that speed cameras are just revenue generators, then that's what their kids will believe (until they turn into stroppy teenagers, anyway
). A photo from a silly (and expensive!) ride in a shopping centre isn't going to make a lot of difference, I don't think.

Should get him to throw a little trike tyre round it with added propellant!

With views like that he can start tomorrow.
