I was just wondering if one of you guys could help with a incident last night.
On the way back from Buxton lastnight I was traveling down the A6 in Stockport cenre heading towards Manchester.
There is a camera at the bottom of the hill, opposite the bus station at the junction that should you turn left, would take you to the M60.
Now, I noticed the camera but it looked more like a red light camera not a speed camera and passed through the green lights. My speed was around 36-37 indicated in the RX8 as i had it in 3rd whilst coming down the hill then applied throttle at the bottom, just where the camera is.
So, anyway the camera flashed me which I was very suprised it had done, so to finally get to my question, is it a speed camera or a red light camera?

I don't know about this specific camera, but there are cameras that monitor both speed and red-light jumping. They use inductive loops embeded in the road surface just after the stop line. In the red phase they detect vehicles going past the stop line and on the green and amber phases they measure speed.
It sounds as though you've been got by one of these.
