"Councillor Gary Hall said: "There are several roads in the town where drivers often speed up to 70mph and this is a growing concern to people. I think this is still the way to go."

And what's the limit???? 30, I can see the problem. NSL I can't.....
Typical media shit with half the story.

If they are roads in the town then they are not going to be NSL are they. Some people do do 70mph on 30mph urban roads.

My mate lives in Risborough so I drive there quite a bit. There are no 70's. You have a 50 NSL coming in from High Wycombe. Good winding and exciting 'country road'.
Lots of people then proceed to drive through the town like tw*ts without slowing down. There is also lot of 'boy racer' types in Risbrough..

If you drive through the place you'll see the visibility, proximity to houses etc means that the 40 limit through the town is too fast really.

Some good pubs in Ris..

A lot of the NSL roads leading into Risbrough have recently been dropped to 50 and even 40 in some cases!

Bucks CC at it's very best!

I think they are speed measuring strips to find out where people are speeding so they know where to put the cameras.

Cllr John Coombs added: "They have speed humps in Chinnor and I think we need to do something to tackle this and I'm all for them in certain locations all round the town."
I thought they were calling speed bumps a different name!

Think he is being funny though! "in Certain locations all around town"
