Saw 5 of these things today but don't know what they are. 4 were at Carlton Hill in Nottingham and 1 was at Long Eaton near Mc Donalds.

They have a wide galvanised base and a bubble spy camera half way up the pole. At the top of the pole are several flat plates like radar reflectors but which I take to be transmitters. No doubt they'll be linked so they can scan the whole vicinity and what you're up to.

Question's are , what are they? Who runs them and why wasn't I told? No doubt I'm paying for this intrusion.

Just make sure you have your tin foil hat on nice and tight and you'll have nothing to worry about.

I can feel them watching me right now....

... and later I wouldn't be at all surprised if loudspeakers could be installed so that the government's latest initiatives could be blasted at everyone in true communist brainwashing style...

Seriously though. These are way bigger in height then anything I've seen before. They aren't the usual type and appear linked. The stuff at the top of the pole is intriguing.

Large bubble? Do the plates look like flat aerials (cell-phone style)? If so, possibly "just" CCTV - Streaky

Small bubble half way up. Plates at the top as you describe. They do look like cctv but on an industrial level.
