No direct mention of "Thou Shalt Not Go Faster Than The Posted Limit"?
In that case, let God judge me.

I'm not a catholic, but I do see a lot of good in that list. It seems to me that it tries to define the right attitude to driving that, to me, is a good first step when starting to drive. Speed is not the issue, but attitude is. You have 1.5 tons (plus!) of metal that can kill, and your first duty is to do all you can to prevent that. Hence always being able to stop in the distance you can see, driving at an appropriate speed for the conditions, etc. Unfortunately, humanity seems unable to live by principles and prefers rules, hence speed limits.
- ahem* already running here:
This seems to be well on the way to becoming one of the most misrepresented documents going, the actual booklet itself is really just a missive on how to reduce and prevent road rage by applying both Christian and advanced driving principles.
I'm just waiting for someone to unstick their head from their arse and write, "pope demands action on low-carbon transport", every other petty unrelated motoring agenda has been stuck into reports on it.

Yes I agree too. It seems to me that the intellectually challenged are those that always demand, feel more comfortable with , want enforced, rules regulations and laws.Forums | Speed, Plod & the Law | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
