Had a head on with a cow this morning at about 50mph in an unclasssified road.I'm ok and the cow is apparently ok (despite wrecking my other halfs car a 04 Corsa 1.3Diesel ).Rang them after coming to my senses and they arived about 5 minutes later from about 3 miles away.Copper was a nice easy going chap and couldn't believe that both the cow and I was OK.Hope they write the corsa off now!!!Shame the AA took 4.5 hours to recover me.

stupid question, is the "owner" of the cow liable for the damage for letting it escape/wander ? not exactly wildlife is it!

The hard part would be finding the owner, the police probably just mooved it into the nearest field and left it at that.

Just glad you are OK, Schorchio!

Your photo message you sent me caused at stir at Goodwood - no-one could quite understand how you and the cow were both fine. The car looked as though you had rolled it!

Hope it wasn't raining whilst waiting for the AA, you'd have been fresian. Still, it will be great when you can say "look at manure car", when you hoof it into work.

I dont beleive it - pull the udder one, its got bells on.

You will have to get, for any bruises, a cold Pat from the Freiser to take down the swelling.

Very a-moos-ing.Everybody can have a "pat" on the back if we meet.Farmer and vet attended ,cow was OK.No Bull!Shant try and "cream" any extra off of the insurance company for nightmares about cows or anything.Might of been one of those cravendale cows wanting its milk back.

Good to see you came out of this prang personally undamaged. As to the speed 'they' showed up, perhaps there's a senior officer who just happens to be female and they thought,.. no of course they wouldn't!

I hit a deer at around 70 once. BiB were there almost instantly, seems there was a local butcher who was a favourite for 'disposing of the carcass' in such incidents (providing he got it quickly). Took 'em two hours to cut me out though cos I'd plugged myself into a ditch at the base of the oak tree I bounced off.
You were lucky mate! biggrin

You cud grass up the owner of the cow to the press. They'd have a field day with it.
