A4 London - Specs about to go in?
Discussion
Leaving work each day I drive down the section of the A4 from the Chiswick roundabout to Gillete corner. In the last few days I have noticed that some brand new L shaped poles have been errected each side of the road around about where the exisiting gatso is currently placed.
These poles are grey in colour and slightly smaller than the usual specs systems but they do very clearly have connection points on them, so they are waiting for "something" to be added. They are not at a junction so it wont be traffic lights.
Anyone know any more?

Tubular upright, with a thin horizontal arm coming out at right angles (without the usual decorative bracket) and 2-3 mounting points hanging down from the arm? Sounds like the posts that went up on the A312 in Hayes recently-drove past them yesterday and noticed they'd now been fitted with small cameras similar to the ANPR ones used around the City and Canary Wharf. They definitely don't look like a typical SPECS setup.
