I was on the M62 today traveling on business. I was doing bang on 70 indicated with cruise control. What comes past me at around 85? (significantly faster and overtaking all the other traffic) It was a van with "traffic enforcement" written all over it with a camera on the back. It didn't have any blue lights (they were orange). Now i know that it could have been ANPR but if it was a mobile speed camera unit.........aarrrhh......

I once had a white van sitting RIGHT on my arse when I was doing 30 in a 30 on a road in Cornwall some years back.

He was so close I could not actually see his bonnet in the rearview... Im guessing around less than 1 foot off the bumper!

A bit further down the road, I turned off and as I did so the van swerved round me

Guess what...

"Safety Camera Partnership" van...

My respect for the SCP's went from 0.000000000% to -99999999% that day!

I got overtaken by a SCP van in cheshire on a country road. I'd slowed down to look for an address (40 in a 40 limit down to maybe 30) and he decided he'd had enough. Alas he hadn't looked very far ahead and pulled into the path of an oncoming car. The oncoming car anchored up, i anchored up and a collision was missed by a couple of feet. Presumably the SCP driver would have claimed the oncoming car was going too fast!
