A rather nasty (fat ugly) teenager across the road has recently been caught for TWOC (hooray!). She has already lost one car in dubious circumstances, but I suspect that nothing came of that.

Anyway - a young probationary driver. What can we expcet her to receive for TWOC, and what's the maxium penalty?

Thanks smile

Most likely a cup of tea in the station, interview, a couple of hours inconvenience for her and then a wave goodbye...if my last few TWOC arrests are anything to go on.

Bloody CPS.

Depends greatly on individual case circumstances.

You can be sure it won't be at or near the maximum which is
6 months imprisonment
£5000 fine
Discretionary disqualification

If aggravated TWOC (on indictment)
2 years imprisonment (14 if resulting in death from a collision)
Obligatory disqualification & endorsement
