I have just received a court summons regarding a unlicensed vehicle what is the best course of action for this ?

Get it taxed / SORN'd, and then pay the fine.

Guess your summons is for using on a road w/o Excise as not declaring SORN generally comes in an £80 demand direct from DVLA.

So......

If there was no Licence in force then its a hands up job (Guilty) and an explanation as to why.

(b) five times the amount of the vehicle excise duty chargeable in respect of the vehicle,

whichever is the greater.

plus the amount of back duty that have lost.
