..ive had a scout for this but to no avail.

Does anyone know exactly how long you have to plead guilty by letter in response to a summons in the Mags court?

The summons doesnt state on the reverse, nor is there any guidance...

You can plead guilty and request to not attend court but if they're anything like Selby Bastards Court they'll make you travel from the 4 corners of the Earth just to send you back on your merry way in 10 minutes.

As far as I am aware there is no set time scale for return.

The summons will stiputate what time and date where you should appear. The accompanying paperwork may describe how to plead Guilty by letter. Obviously then any such letter should arrive in time for the Court (Mags Clerk) to take due notice of your plea, cancel witnesses etc.

Again obviously if they have not received any letter from you or personal appearance at Court when they call your case then they are entitled to go into nasty mode......... if they have proof of correct service of summons. Maybe consider a Bench Warrant of Arrest.
