i know this has been posted a thousand and 1 times, but my Dad has been sent a nip for speeding, 37 in a 30, done by a gatso, sent within the 14 days, so looks bleak. but how do you gain access to the photo and data, incase they've lost it, or any other routes i could pursue to beat the system, he has a clean licence so is not life threatening, but he would prefer to keep it that way if you get me. or is it just better to bend over and take it like a man? lol

Cheers

well, if its a 'fair cop' (i.e. he did actually do an indicated 40mph in a 30 zone past a GATSO) then he may as well take it like a man.

www.pepipoo.com has hints and tips if he thinks he has been done wrongly

But it's an allegement of speeding, and you then have an uphill struggle to get some or all of the evidence from them.

To the OP, ask for photo's to identify the driver (you can use these to measure the distance travelled on the white lines) - PePiPoo is your best bet though.

Do they do police naughty school where you are? You may get an idea by the wording on the NIP, does it say "intending to prosecute" or "being considered forprosecution"?

Take it like a man. 3 points is nothing these days, even insurers turn a blind eye a lot of the time and don't increase premiums.

boocks!

Fight each and every one like it's your last 3 points!

...well... at least check it's a 100% watertight conviction before you put your hands up.

The SCPs are taking the piss and the roads are no safer than before Gatsos and the like.

Over the years I've given advice to many people on speeding tickets and so far I've managed to "rob" the state of 24 points and over £360.

That'll teach them for tucking me up on the M5 back in 1996. tongue out

There speaks a very, very wise voice.

Fight it. All it takes for evil to prevail is for reasonable men to do nothing.

I also like to think that the more you drag out a ticket the more chance there is that someone else will get off because of lack of resources, etc... if everyone challenged their tickets then the system would implode.

Did they not offer Speedchoice as an alternative?

37mph in a 30mph zone is just within the border of a three-hour course instead of the points....

I think you are losing the numbers game with how many you've got off, I'm still smiling.
