F'ing thieving scum

tootled downstairs this morning to jump in the van to move it before getting the lotus out for oulton park and stood there confusesd for a couple of seconds... Hmmm something not quite right here ( wires hanging from the dash) and no sat nav cradle..... and no sat nav where I cunningly hid it.
no entry marks at all, no scratches around the dash. left (what I had not removed)all tools etc alone, didn't even bother removing about five quids worth of change from the centre console, yes on the drive with another car behind and in the most crimeless area I know of. The stereo was worth less than 20 quid and the sat nav probably 200 new.... Just a note to say be very very carefull, i know people let security slip over years of nothing... this is a note to remind you to tighten up, nothing has happened around here for years, if at all ! dont lull yourselves into a false sense of security ! A quick question as I have registred the sat nav can they trace where it is when turned on ? It would be ace if they could pinpoint the assholes !

I lost one tom tom and 2 x Pug 406 coupe windows (£200 each),
then the shits broke in again about 3 months later, last ANOTHER £200 window (no sat nav in car this time though) annoying thing was, the car was in an NCP in london with a ferrari about 4 porsches, umpteen nice beemers and all sorts of other cars with much better chance of there being "goodies" inside! still better my crappy pug than those cars i suppose.

Scumbags.
The current advice in my force is to remove the sat nav and any brackets it uses from the vehicle and also wipe the screen where the stoppers been as the scum are looking for the mark they leave!. They see the mark on the glass and break in on the off chance the units in the glove box, which unfortunately most of the time they are.
Unbelievable I know, but that's whats happening.

You also shouldn't programme your "home" location into them.
I program my work's address into it, which is under a mile from home and after 6 years, I'm pretty confident I know the way there and back

A colleague had his vehicle broken into and the SOCO who attended (the local force was clamping down on car crime) said that it was probably the mark left by the suction-pad that had attracted them. Sadly, this was the mark from a temporary mirror, fitted so my colleague could 'have eyeball' on his grandson in a car seat in the rear - StreakyPermission to join the club this morn?
Just been informed that an adjacent premises we use for storing display stock boxes (i.e. empty boxes) has been the subject of an attempted entry. That'll be a new door, door frame, £X labour and a couple of new padlocks.
I reckon crime costs us literally a four figure sum every week on average, just ito of on-going, petty repairs.
This does not include past expenditure on ED-29s nor current and likely future costs pertaining to 'super soldiers' as featured in The X Files.
I do feel a tax break most justified.

Became a member of the satnav stealing cretins club recently.
Whilst attending Yamaha audios Latest "we're better at home cinema than everyone else in the world" course at the Holiday inn at Haydock Park. A single cell organism (and there was probably 3 of them) attempted to gain access to the daily barge (a recent mondeo estate) they proceeded to jemmy the drivers door handle off and damage the metalwork and the lock assembly but because I always put the deadlocks on they didn't get in.
But i'm now faced with the cost of repairing it myself as I dont want to lose 14 years of hard earned no claims.
And to cap it all the Holiday inn had CCTV but the police wern't interested.
I'd love to have a time machine and transport these scum back to a time when people like these would have been put in stocks and the local populace could the throw any rotten stinking stuff they wanted at them...
But somehow I dont think that'll happen anytime soon!!!
When will someone have the balls to put the Great back in Great Britain
