For the first time this morning I saw a Safety Camera Van positioned somewhere I considered sensible. They were facing traffic approaching both a bend and a junction with poor visibility in a 60mph zone where accidents / near misses do happen occasionally (Dare I suggest I would almost consider a 50mph limit to be acceptable at this location). I finally had a little respect for the guys in the van. However, ‘twas short lived, ½mile further on and I found the revenue generating scum teeting out their back windows over a bush (which by chance had obscured their reflective markings) on one of the only decent overtaking stretches on the road. Happily though, I wasn’t speeding on this occasion.

I don't know about Scotland but the 'rules' have been relaxed and they can setup where they like...

A cheeky "double" scamming.

I say cheeky...you know what I mean- there will be a few people caught because they know the "safe" stretch, have passed in van, figure there won't be another and open up for a safe overtake...

Yep...I guess they figure they've got zero PR points as is, so they can't drop any lower in the public's estimation...

Was on my way to Weymouth on Wednesday morning travelling from Bridport towards Swyre on the B3157 and was much surprised to find a portable sign warning of the Talivan before you got into the village. Very sporting of the Dorset Scamerati I thought - unlike their Devonian cousins who were hiding in the foliage on the B3181 at Dog Village on Monday!
