Allegation made in an Employment Tribunal (WPC Lynford -vs- Sussex Police) by an ex-PC, that Sussex Police firearms officers were fined doughnuts (and in one case a cake) for leaving firearms unattended. The cake was for leaving a H&K in the canteen! The same ex-PC also alleged that officers faked patrol reports and slept on the job. A bit like many jobs then wink - Streaky

Doughnuts/cake is the fine for any 'cock up' made by an officer.

As for the other allegations. There will be a reason she is an ex pc.

When I was in Toronto a couple of years ago I was walking home late one night and there was a car accident about 300m from my apartment.
2 Police cars had stopped and the officers were gathered on the opposite side of the road from their cars.

On the driver seat of one car was a box of ammo and a shotgun was laid across the passenger seat. The drivers window was open.
Never saw any crime in the 5 weeks I was there though.

I learnt a couple of new acronyms reading about this case. Apparently they were rating waiting passengers as either MILF or GILF. Mum / Grandmother I'd like to f**k!

MILF - as quoted in American Pie, many years ago. It's not a new acronym. A further search of the web will confirm this wink

Well I guess leaving an MP5 in the canteen isn't too bad, had they left it in the departure lounge on the other hand........

Sorry. But if ex pc's make allegations there are always reasons they are ex. Its very hard to get rid of a police officer. As for whatever this wps is on about. Again I would look at motivations.

I see a Policeman shot himself saturday evening getting into a car.

The bizzare thing was that he was leaving a mates 30th party when I got there. His partner/wife was in tears when she got the phonecall.

We obviously didn't start taking the preverbial until it was confirmed he had done it.

It has been confirmed as far as I know that it was his leg, so by all accounts not critical. Joking aside I do hope there is no lasting damage, I suppose the safety got caught on something. It happened apparently getting into a car.
