Foreign drivers licence question please help
Discussion
I have a question that i would greatly appreciate an answer to.
I have lost my UK driving licence (taken by the court for a 60 day speeding ban, apparently if the ban is over 56 days you have to surrender your licence and re-apply for another), so i am disqualified for driving on Uk roads for 60 days. I have a USA drivers licence (as i have a home over there), so when my 60 days are up am i correct in assuming i can drive on that without my Uk licence? If so, do i have to re-apply for another Uk licence at all, or can i continue driving for as long as i wish on my US licence?

If you are a British citizen and resident here, your UK drivers licence supercedes all others. You will not be able to drive in the UK on your US licence when the ban ends, you must get your UK one back or you risk prosecution for driving without a licence. You will however be OK to drive outside the UK on the US licence.

Read the OP again. What happens after the disqualification?
The DVLA will automatically return your licence when the ban ends, if they do not, contact them immediately.http://www.drivingban.co.uk/drivingban/banneddrivi...
