rubbish in the road

had a slight argument with a large fish tank looking object this morning,are the local council/ministry of silly walks responsible for keeping roads clear and can i get them to pay for the damage or is it gaffa tape to the fore?
anyone got a front bumper for a mk2 mundano going spare if its down to me?

I have heard of people getting compo for messing up there alloys on potholes in the road but I think they have rules (e.g. the depth of the hole etc.) but am not sure about the debris. Did you get pics of the fish tank in the road? as that will be useful when trying to claim.

Obligation to repair, clear or warn where reasonable that know of incident damage or obstruction.

In this instance unlikely to succeed in claim that reasonable to have known unless was there for some time and or was reported to HA / LA.

You have a claim against the person who left it there, however.

sounds like you had a smashing time

cant see it working as a claim to be honest. unless you were following a roadsweaper or something at the time.

Can't imagine you would get any compensation for into something.
