6POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!

What if you beleive it was your mum but ti was your brother!! Your frigged for life then as you just made your mum take the rap for your brother. If there is no picture then they should be allowed to prosicute.

Also if i were to say it was my mum driving and she didnt think it was then she would be able to launch a law suite against me for saying it was her (surley this is slander? (or maby some different word :P)) And if she did launch a law suite againste me as she beleived she wasn't driving the car then the police wouldn't be able to procicute without a picture as neither law suite would ever finish, as there is no evidence except that the car at some point of time went past a camer.

Would they put someone in jail because i said i didnt see the bank robbery but i think Joe bloggs did it as he always wanted money? I think not!

How can our word that we didnt do somthing mean nothing but our word that someone did do somthing mean so much?

Also would it not be useful if SPECS flashed a light (or 2 lights 1 per each lane, on dual carrige way) to let a driver know they have been caught speeding? therefore allowing that guilty driver to know they have commited an offence? and possibly even let them have a chance to see yes they were going over the speed limit and be able to accept the conciquences?

Regards
Liam

Incorrect. Six points for failing to nominate the driver when you reasonably could have been expected to know. I don't like S172, but your presentation of the situation is inaccurate. Employers will have to tighten up their record keeping, as I think I'm right in saying that they should ALWAYS know who's in a company vehicle at any given time. (Question for the resident PH legal beagles - in the case of a company vehicle, who gets the points for failure to nominate the driver? The company secretary? The chief exec?)

Similarly, I detest automated speed enforcement but quite honestly, SPECS is an IQ test. Those who are too dim to understand "average speed" will get caught.
