Heading into Birmingham this morning on the Fort Parkway. Just before the retail park island, van in bushes on side of the road about as well camouflagued as it could be. This is a 40mph DC and there is no pavement on that side of the road. Looked on the West Midlands Scamera site and not listed as a mobile site. Van white, blacked out rear windows and "Speed Enforcement" across the back doors.

Ah...thanks for that. Go that way on the odd occasion, and never understand why it's a 40.

Are we talking about the first stretch from the Spitfire island (down the side of Castle Brom plant)? Or the short stretch after that?

The short stretch after. At the end of the New Fort development opposite what is now the Dunlop entrance and new Lambo showroom (which is a very unlikely place to find one of those I might add)..

Cheers!

Yeah, we spotted the Bentley/Lambo showroom on the way back from Star City a couple of weekends back...had to do a double-take as it's not exactly Kensington & Chelsea around there... laugh

Saw that - no speed camera signs at all. Not even sure what speed I was doing, well under 40 as theres a roundabout there FFS!

Must try harder. If you straight-line it and ignore the possibility of people using it for a U-turn, you could hit at least 70 across it! winkrolleyes

Only if they trimmed the bushes (arf!) - they obscure the traffic coming round at the moment, meaning a quicker dash across is a bit of a leap of faith...

The van was sited just before the roundabout. The approach is about half-a-mile of DC and is a very gradual bend. See van and too late !!
