Lorry driver given flags warning

Driver had flags similar to these
A lorry driver who had six flags and pendants blocking his view through the windscreen of his cab has been stopped and warned by police.

The man, who has not been named, was driving a 44-tonne articulated lorry when he was pulled over by Central Scotland Police, near Falkirk.

Police said his actions were "just sheer stupid" and put his life and the lives of other road users at risk.

The driver has now been reported to the Traffic Commissioner for Scotland.

The vehicle was immediately taken off the road and the driver forced to remove the items.

A report submitted by Central Scotland Police to the Traffic Commissioner stated his visibility was "seriously reduced due to the presence of six flags within the cab"

Or the literally hundreds of small passenger cars I see every day when out and about with a CD hanging off the rear view mirror.

If that is what it is, shouldn't they face the same charges for PCJ as the guy with the garage door opener?

He inadvertantly committed PCJ (if believed) whereas they are deliberately attempting to do the same, however misguided...

They take this stuff pretty seriously.
Wouldn't want to be talking to the transport commisioner about it, that could be the end of his license and livelyhood depending what they think.

Going to be expensive whatever though.

mythbusters did an episode on this, in the end they had a huge foil rotating sail on top of the car, and it still didn't work!

I think they should fine people who have babe on board stickers when the driver is male or the female driver in question has a face like a baboons backside.

That's right nothing but the proper jammers will work. Everything else is shite.

Hmm. Pendants mean points ...

Whilst on the subject, hypothetically if one were accused of using a laser detector device (especially one that had had its laser detection functionality disabled) would the prosecution have to prove that it worked in order to prosecute successfully?

Or would suspicion be enough?

Hopefully they'll start pulling people for having a brightly lit TomTom stuck to the windscreen. How people drive like that I don't know.
