Black box

[crankedup]

Just wondered if the response vehicles have the black boxes fitted to them, as in aircraft type to record data? I'm sure I heard some years ago consideration being given to this by the higher powers, but would it be for the greater good if fitted.

[Dibble]

As usual, this is decided on by each force.

Where I work, they're being fitted to all new cars when they're originally commissioned, and a rolling programme to fit them to existing vehicles.
