Speeding ticket - wrong reg.

[lazyitus]

For a friend..

If a copper issues a speeding ticket but accidentally writes the wrong registration number (1 letter incorrect), can they enforce the fine ?

Cheers

they may have a job finding you if reg is incorrect .

I'm fairly sure the Officer will have written the OP's friend's name, address and date of birth on the ticket too.

A minor error with the reg plate on the ticket won't provide an "out" I'm afraid.

Trouble is, he was pulled so they know who he is. It wasn't a gatso type ticket.
