Can't get done head on by a Gatso can you?
Discussion
The system is capable of enforcing both approaching and receding vehicles, taking 1 photo or two photos respectively.
However, in the UK the approaching shots are inadmissable and so you are right, a Gatso cannot enforce head-on.
However, a Truvelo can, so make sure you know which is which.

Used to be a favourite "sport" or mine, triggering Gastos head on.
Yes, it's great watching sports bikes give it big guns pulling wheelies etc towards a GATSO, only for them not to realise they were being observed by you.

A photo to go with my testimony would be just great & I'll thank them for providing it.

Obviously I never ever speed
I wish bikers wouldn't do this sort of thing - firstly it's gives us a bad name, and secondly, the more people who take the p*ss like this, the more likely it is that the powers that be decide to deface our beautiful sports bikes with a number plate of some kind. Yes, we have an advantage in that we don't have to display them on the front - let's just keep our celebrations to ourselves, eh?!

There is a camera on the northbound A1 between Edinburgh and Berwick that always gets me as I drive Southbound, the first time it did it the pic would have seen me swearing profusely whilst flinching and squinting into the night with a massive blue square in front of my eyes.
I set a camera off on the A1 between Edinburgh and Berwick heading north. It appeared to be flashing at anything that came within half a mile of it at any speed. On a related note, truvelos must be quite expensive to replace. In my home town, buxton, a drunk driver in a 4x4 pickup hit a truvelo and ripped it out of the ground. It took about 4 months for them to replace the camera and it's been replaced with a gatso rather than a truvelo. Maybe the budgetry constraints are starting to bite

Yup...thats a really good one, just at the Cove roundabout.....there are spacing markers on all 3 lanes(2 lanes South,1 lane North)as people were crossing to the farthest lane to avoid being snapped
(Great "SAFETY" device
.....so it sets the Nothbound camera off in many situations. The consequence being that you get flashed straight in the eyes in either 2 Southbound lanes....pretty dangerous stretch without that happening...only an official body could get away with anything that irresponsible Mad Dave said:
