As a wheelchair user I'm neither tall nor nimble enough to do it myself, but I applaud those that do.

You?

Would not do it myself, but I do suffer a certain form of blindness that does not enable me to see anybody else doing it hehe

I normally hate things being damaged and destroyed, but I make an exception in the case of those devices.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

That's settled then - we should set up a fighting fund for MAD and donate spare tyres and petrol.

Always makes me laugh.

I thought I saw someone vandalising one once but he was actually replacing the film, I noticed after cleaning my windscreen thoroughly using with a good blast on the washers.

Anyone else give free showers to roadside pests?

What is the best way? Are they CCTV covered? Purely for curiosity.

As I understand it...

A cojuple of tyres at the base and a can of petrol should just about do it...

Not sure about CCTV though...

The ones that get done regulary tend to have cctv placed covering them, so a bit of a disguise is a good idea. Plus not parkin your car next to it might help too.

You do however have your own supply of tyres to throw over them - anyone for hoopla? wink

I'm quite liking the "hit them with a lorry" approach as well, some beautifully disfigured examples can be seen, leaning over and pointing at the sky.

What I would love is some way to return the signal at a few million times the strength and blow the evil things up by setting them off. Ditto those LTI 20/20 guns. If only I was an electronics wizz.

There is a website which has dozens of pictures of rather poorly scameras. Sadly my bookmark went when my previous hard disk crashed so I can't provide a link.

Something anyone can do for free to help is to set them off from the front. Square gatsos on the opposite carriageway can be triggered going towards them tax-free. And every frame wasted hurts the local camera businesses right in their greedy little pockets.
