50 in a 30 limit

One of my cricket team managed to get caught speeding by a well known camera van in a nearby village.
He holds his hands up and has no excuses especially as this van is well known and always parks in the same place.
He has received a summons having already pleaded guilty.
From my initial research I'm thinking a probable 4-6 points and a fine of a weeks wages. Although a 7-28 day ban is possible.
Am I in the right ball park?

6 points more likely then 5 or 4. Ban possible but not likely.

There is a statutory maximum fine of £1000, so if his net weekly income exceeds £1000 then he is not at risk of - "a fine of a week's wages."

Also, the Starting Point is before credit is applied for a guilty plea. If he pleads guilty at the earliest opportunity then the most likely fine is two-thirds of his net weekly income and, in any event, the fine should not exceed 75% of the maximum fine.

There will be a 40% surcharge in addition to the fine.

Prosecution costs are usually around £120.

Does he have a Summons or something else? Cases of this type usually resolve at the Single Justice stage of proceedings. Has he received a Single Justice Procedure Notice? Does he have 6 or more relevant penalty points?

He has received a Summons and a court date, his license is clean at the moment and with the nature of his job and rural location I was thinking a ban not likely.
I will pass this all on to him, he will be most grateful. Thank You!
