Does the Dart Charge apply to classic vehicles classified as HISTORIC, i.e. that are exempt from VED/road tax?

I've not been able to find anything definitive about this in general on-line searching. Vehicles that are exempt from VED due to disabled owner are exempt from the charge, but no mention that I can find about HISTORIC vehicles.

Anyone able to confirm either way?

Google AI says yes, but I'm not sure I believe it because it's the only reference* I can find to it.

  • If AI is a reference which I doubt because its made up.

When you have made your crossing you could always put you reg plate into the Dart Charge wibblyweb site and see if it's demanding payment?

^^^This.^^^

I cannot imagine why the OP would think they would be exempt.

I’ve driven my 1973 TR 6 through and both times I’ve been charged. You just cannot trust the Google results!
