NIP procedure

I've received an NIP from a back-of-white-van-camera telling me to confirm driver details. It says they have photographic evidence I was doing "in excess of 70mph" (on motorway), but I would have thought they should tell me what speed I'm accused of ?

Is this the correct procedure ? i.e getting my details before telling me the detail of what I'm alleged to have done ?

Fill in all the required details, but dont sign that nip.
Unsigned nips are inadmissable in court. Case dismissed! Read the article posted by Ted on this.

I heard they closed that loophole. Apparently, you have to never verbally accept that it was you either or they use that as admission.

Or am I mistaken?

Presumably if you get an NIP in the post you won't have had a chance to admit your guilt verbally?

haven't filled it in or spoken to them. It says "you MUST sign". But if that's not important I'll take the advice
