I know we all do it from time to time when you drive towards a gatso to set it of as they cant catch you and its one less photo of someone doing 35 in a 30 . But i never do it when there is a car on that side of the road and today someone done it as i was going past and i just wanted to know if the police can tell who set it off as the said car was doing about 60mph in a 30 limit. Cheers Dan .

Thank for that. AHA so what your saying is if we painted over the lines they couldnt tell your speed and nick you. wheres that paint brush. I will take a photo of the gatso to show you all because its hidden behind a sign and a huge hanging basket . But its not there to make money QUESTION if they can tell which cars moved the most on either side of the road in the photo why cant they nick the person speeding towards the camera?? just a thought .Cheers mate Dan

One thing to remember is that these devices are geared towards identification of VEHICLES, not PEOPLE.

It's up to the registered keeper's integrity and social upbringing to purposefully stand up and say 'it was me!' and take the rap proudly.
If the registered keeper's help doesn't lead the authorities to a valid UK licence holder who accepts the charge, then the whole automation of ticket collection is in disarray.
