Back in the Fold

I've had a C5 and a C6 and three years ago felt like a change. I ended up with an SL55 AMG. A great car but I never really bonded with it. Dare I say that it was a bit boring ,if 5.5litres of supercharged V8 can ever be described as boring. Another downside being the running costs. How about £800 for a set of plugs !! (16 at £50 each ) at the MB dealership.
Yesterday I said goodbye to the Merc and hello to a victory red Z06, Wow what a contrast. No fancy tiptronic ,just a clutch pedal and a conventional gear lever.
Mine has a Corsa exhaust. which I suspect could be a bit wearing on a long trip but who cares when you get that fantastic noise . I have been driving with the windows down looking for bridges and underpasses.
It can only get better!

I also had an SL-55AMG after the first year after they came out. Loved it to bits - too many bits in fact, it was the most unreliable car I have ever owned (after my first Griff that is)! Just loved the noise and looks though, silver with berry red interior.
