Just before I waste some money, in your experience, what is the best phone holder? I’m think8ng either suction to the windscreen or find a spare square in on the dash.

I’m going to use my phone for nav and a Blue-tooth source for a speaker. Does anybody bother with music in a seven?

Thanks,

Si.

You won't hear the bluetooth speaker over the engine and windnoise. If you really need music, get some bluetooth headphones, or if you value your hearing, bluetooth moulded earplugs, and have the SatNav directions, music and comms come direct.

I mount my phone in landscape mode behind the gear stick, so it does not clutter the dashboard or interrupt my line of sight when picking a line through a series of bends.

… this also works without the windscreen… #aeroforever

I've got one of these, just clips to the edge of the dash and is very solid with zero vibration

Edit - I also have it in landscape so it doesn't obstruct the view too much

Earphones is a good shout. I plan to use the seven for the odd commute and that’s an hour each way, so not going deaf does sound appealing!

Quadlock. It’s also worth adding in their motorcycle anti-vibration mount.

Used mega mounts in other cars for years and found them to be rock solid.

Needing to stay with the same brand so my phone works in both cars I have just bought their version which attaches to the screen and will mount it as far into the passenger side as I can reach with harnesses on.

I use a Quadlock charging base. It's been rock solid. I also use a set of BOSE in ear noise cancelling headphones, perfect for the job.

I have the same but have modded the mount so it’s lower and doesn’t foul the tonneau.

So mine's a combination of a Syncwire mount from Amazon and a Belkin wireless charging mount.

The magnetic mount on the syncwire is actually very good (better than the Belkin to be honest), but I wanted wireless charging and the Belkin does that well and while it's not super strong, it holds my Pixel 10 without issue and it's never fallen off while driving.

I didn't go for the ones above, only because I've got the little protective thing on the dash so they couldn't sit flush.

Also, this works if I'm using the windscreen or aeroscreen.

I use an SP connect on the steering wheel and a 3d printed mount on the tunnel held in place by some Velcro in case it rains. Works perfectly.
