My recent purchase has the 6.5 x 15 wheels front and rear - with some old tyres fitted. For road use what is everyone using? It's currently on Yoko Neova AD08R's. I will use it in the wet so predominantly dry trackday tyres don't appeal so much!

It's a real shame that Nova haven't had the ZZS approved for the road. They're a brilliant all rounder.

Well yeah, have an accident and I suspect the insurer would take a pretty dim view of you having non road legal tyres!

Needs type approval. The old 'E' mark.

Regulations change all the time, so while the Avon version of the tyre was approved, it doesn't apply to Nova as it's a new manufacturer. It's an expensive process and if they're focussed on race tyres then it might not be worth their while.

IMO there's a real chance that you're already on the correct tyre. It would be really easy to pick a tyre which looks more appropriate based on the land / sea ratio and find it to be a lot worse.

In what ways are the Yokos falling short?

I currently run Yokohama Advan HF A008s on my 6.5x15 Prisoner alloys. I´m happy with them, certainly much better as a general use tyre and in wet weather than the Toyo R888s that I had on the car previously....

"For Competition and Race Track Use Only. Prohibited for use on Public Roads"

E marked, yes. Not road legal though due to lack of noise and efficiency testing, and the absence of the sticker confirming which 'band' they would fit in to.
