As far as I know you can import anything over 15yrs old into Canada. Does anyone know if I can import a 15yr old Caterham, take it apart, and them re-build it with slightly more modern parts?
If you can find a 15 year old caterham that hasnt been upgraded then it belongs in a museum
But yes, eminently doable. You won't get "modern" rear suspension but you don't get that in most of the cars today ! But almost everything else is upgradable.
Chassis might be a bit tatty, not sure when the powder coat issues stopped. Although you will find many 15 year old cars have been rebuilt a few times. It's what we do for fun

The Canadian Forum http://usa7s.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?s=37ddc72c8c0... will be able to sort you out. When we did the USA2005 run there was one couple from Vancouver who joined us, there are a number of Caterhams in Canada. Unsure if they came via the original US distributor in Colorado, or a Canadian specific one....
International Caterham dealers http://www.caterham.co.uk/assets/html/internationa... doesn't show one in the east of Canada, which may not be an issue...

Here is the Canadian importer www.7cars.ca, they are out of Alberta. The contact there is Terry Johns. He also posts a lot on the www.usa7s.com forum
