Fitting Superlite wheels

I'm doing a flared to cycle wings conversion and at the same time moving to 13" wheels.
Originally I was going with MB wheels but they cost a fortune so I was thinking JBW Minilites wheels in 13x6 (175/55 CR500) for fronts and 13x7 (205/55 CR500) for rear. So a few questions:
- Do the wheels and tires match or should I go wider in the back?
- The 13x7's have a ET -7, I do believe standard Caterham items are ~ET +20 so do they fit in the rear?
- How is the quality of JBW, any experiences? I'm going to make my order from Midland Wheels.

KN Wheels in Telford manufacture the CC 8 spoke design that is marketed thru CC only, very light and very strong. Used throughout the Caterahm motorsport series.
KN also make the Minator which is a minilite copy, i believe they will sell this direct.

The wheel and tyre combo will be fine.
James - why do you say the OP wants 8"s on the back? I would say that very much depends on how powerful your car is and how much you like the back end to be 'playful'. I have an HPC and run MB alloys - in fact I sent mine back to Mike and got him to reduce the rears from 8.5 to 7 because a) I didn't want the back end to be too sticky and b) my preferred 205 tyres aren't so stretched over that wheel width.
Can't advise on the ET I'm afraid but yes I would imagine it would stick out / fill the wheel arch quite significantly. If you run big brakes you may wish to check that the inner wheel doesn't foul the calipers. I had some Superlite wheels ( http://www.superlite-wheels.com/ - so a different make to the ones you are referencing) and they rubbed against the AP brakes so had to go.
Also don't rule out wheels like RIAL, Compomotive CXRs or Image wheels- there was a recent bulk buy on the L7 forum (Blatchat) for Image wheels. A nice alternative but not as expensive as the MBs.

I got buggered about by supelite wheels, (and quite a few other jokers).

A common misconception. I thought they cost a fortune too, until I saw the new BBS wheels available on the MOG/Westermann site for... €2,500 per wheel! And that does not include tax, shipping, tires, mounting, balancing, etc.BBL-Sean said:

Can't see how changing the rim width and keeping same tyre will really make the back end more playful but then don't know what you mean by playful. You can do more with the set up or go the hole hog and stick 6" all round like the BAT hooners if all you want to do is light the rears.
OP- compos are good alternative and may well be cheaper than the CC versions, although i am a fan of the 8 spoke. Very light nad incredibly strong.
MB's are very pretty but wouldn't have them anywhere near a race car.

Good point. They are nice looking wheels, but I can't see how they can cost that much.
Especially when you can buy a set of 5 bespoke billet three piece wheels, for half the price of one of those.
What material are they? Unobtainium?
As an aside, if you run bigger brakes, the MB's and Force rims have a larger inner rim dia. than any of the other wheels on the market.
That I could find anyway.
