blue plate torque settings

just done an oil and oil filter change on my drysump r400k, opted to do it the messy way by removing the blue alloy plate which is bolted to the bottom of the bell housing, does anybody know the torque settings for the 4 allen headed bolts, can't be that high because they didn't take much effort to loosen. cheers shawn

I've never used a torque wrench on them - just done them up reasonably tight using a normal allen key. A bit of loctite could be used if you wanted to be sure they didn't come undone.

Not sure on the torque setting either but do be careful not to overtighten. I've managed to stretch the threads on one of mine. Managed to find a slightly longer screw to grip on the very last thread as a temporary measure but will need to get a helicoil in there at the next oil change.

Carefull as easy to pull the threads out as stated. Drill the capheads then they can be lockwired together after sealing the plate with just a smear of a none setting silicone

thanks for the advice guts, ended up using an allen key and tightening up to what i thought was a safe point before the threads started to strip!
