How much? seems pretty steep to me..

This dude is selling his 450mile old sigma roadsport he bought new in '07.
It's clearly a nice thing. How much was it ex dealer in '07? It's not an SV, no 6 speed box but does have leather. They're not that much more than that new today!

I was interested in a K roadsport but if I can raise the extra pennies I think I may go for a 125 sigma. I admit they're thin on the ground but are the residules that rock solid? I'm thinking of say with 6000miles I can get one for 14ish. Obviously metric chassis etc etc..

Well Caterham have one here which is slightly more so the one you are referring to seems reasonable

I read on here that Caterham charge approx 5k over the usual price..http://www.caterham.co.uk/assets/html/preowned/pre...
Just keep looking.
I got very lucky. Found an '09 Roadsport Sigma 140. 6 speed, LSD, CR500's, Superlight suspension, Carbon wheel covers, black pack, fire extinguisher, kill switch, Moma wheel and keyless start for under 18k. Mileage was 11k.
Caterham's own prices seem very high, I dread to think how much mine would have been with them! PH Classfields seem to be the best place to look.

In reality Caterham will charge around £1500 to £2000 more than a private sale and they never discount. That's partly what keeps the residuals high and benefits us all as owners. They're a business selling cars, don't expect them to be the same price as buying private.CC don't reduce the price, but they will service it and make small mods ifyiu ask nicely. They also have a limited warranty should things go wrong after the sale. My first SV split its gaiter on the half shaft when it was 1 month out of warranty. They still replaced it for me under the warranty.

I would suggest the Caterham Price is the usual price as they are the builder/supplierCaterhams have a slow devaluation particularly ones that have been looked after are standard factory models. As has been highlighted there is a small premium for buying directly from Caterham and they do give good service, plus it could be argued there is a value in having the factory stamp in the service book.
22 year old Caterham is selling for £12K http://www.caterham.co.uk/assets/html/preowned/pre...
And a 21 year old for £12,500 http://www.caterham.co.uk/assets/html/preowned/pre...
They probably cost this when they were new so not a bad investment.
