R300 salvage - advice needed quickly !!

Hello all,
Shameless duplication of a thread also posted on BC. Advice needed this afternoon.
You may or may not have seen the thread here about the accident I had in my R300. Good news (apart from the lack of injury) is that I've had a full-value insurance payment confirmed - phew
It's a Cat B meaning it has to be broken and can't rebuilt, but the salvage value is a LOT less than I was expecting. I believe I could cover the cost just by selling off some of the bits - everything behind the scuttle is still complete, including the interior. Now the bit I don't know about. Does the category of write off mean that the significant parts (engine, gearbox, diff) are unusable to anyone else ? I realise there's the issue of assessing potential damage to the drivetrain but essentially I'd be happy for someone with the knowledge to do whatever tests are necessary before agreeing a value.
The car was a 2004 with only 6000 miles; standard but full spec with LSD, tillets and most of the available options (except heater).
Also is the registration (R300 LTE) now worthless or could it be transferred ?
I have to make a decision this afternoon as the ins co want it resolved. I'll have to transport the car from Scotalnd to Dorset but I'm not too worried about that.

Great news, I've done a deal with the ins co and am getting it all back, including the reg 
. Just have to get the chassis properly destroyed and provide certification to DVLA.
I've had interest already in the package of parts so if anyone has an idea how much I should be asking, or is interested, do let me know.

What sort of damage was done? Takes a lot for a 7 not to be repairable.
As for value of the bits, it depends which you have and what sort of condition they're still in. 5-6k maybe? Or why not get yourself a starter kit/panelled chassis, rebuild it and sell it as a complete car (if you don't want one any more).
